About Dragonfly Business Support

Practical support, built around how your business really works.

I’m Kerry Wardlaw, the person behind Dragonfly Business Support. I provide calm, reliable business support for people who need things handled properly, without constant oversight. I bring more than 20 years of experience across local government, charities and private businesses.

My background includes senior administrative roles with Argyll and Bute Council, where I oversaw multiple teams, and the National Lottery Community Fund, where I assessed funding applications and built trusted working relationships. I have also worked in Executive Assistant and Personal Assistant roles, supporting managers and business owners.

My experience also covers recruitment, diary and schedule coordination, finance administration, accounting-system support and client-facing work. I understand how quickly emails can build up, diaries can become difficult to manage and important tasks can be pushed aside. I manage the detail, keep things organised and create space for you to focus on the work that matters, with care, accuracy and confidentiality.

Why I work calmly

Calm does not mean life has always been quiet.

I have raised eight children, run my own business, planned a wedding and been through cancer treatment and the realities of recovery. Life has involved plenty of people, details, deadlines and unexpected changes.

Those experiences have taught me how to keep perspective, organise what can be organised and focus on the next useful step. I do not pretend everything is always tidy. I bring a steady, practical approach, communicate honestly and help make busy working lives feel more manageable.

What working together looks like

Support with clarity, care and useful follow-through.

Each retainer includes a clear number of monthly support hours, while the work itself is shaped around the recurring tasks and operational pressures that matter most to your business.

I am particularly experienced in supporting charities, purpose-led organisations and businesses working in mental and physical health, where sensitivity, professionalism and trust make a genuine difference.

01

Clear from the start

Your proposal confirms priorities, boundaries, working hours and the monthly fee before work begins.

02

Comfortable with your systems

When an agreed task requires it, I work within your existing systems using only the access needed for that work.

03

Honest professional boundaries

I provide experienced finance administration, not qualified bookkeeping. If qualified support is needed, trusted associates are available by agreement.

04

Consistent support

Monthly retainers reserve reliable capacity, helping agreed tasks move forward without repeated last-minute arrangements.
