These are monthly retainers with a clear allowance of reserved support hours, not ad-hoc hourly bookings. Retainers are invoiced and paid in advance. Your written proposal confirms the priorities, scope and monthly fee; additional work is agreed before it begins. Pre-agreed work outside standard hours has a separate minimum charge, explained in the working-hours FAQ.
Good to know
A retainer is one agreed monthly fee that reserves a set number of support hours for your business. Your priorities, boundaries and working rhythm are confirmed in writing, and support begins once the month’s retainer has been paid in advance.
Each retainer includes a clear monthly allowance of support hours, but it is not ad-hoc hourly booking. You are reserving regular capacity in Kerry’s diary, with agreed priorities and a planned working rhythm. Any work beyond the included hours is discussed and agreed before it begins.
No. Essentials is a flexible starting point for a manageable mix of related recurring tasks. It is not limited to one named service, and we can review the level of support together as your needs change.
Start with the task that is repeatedly delayed, takes too much of your time, or affects cash flow. Common starting points include inboxes, invoicing, payment follow-up or client administration.
Yes. Where an agreed task requires the use of your own systems, Dragonfly will work within them as needed to perform work pertinent to your business. Access should be limited to what is necessary for the agreed tasks and provided securely.
Client work is kept separate, access is limited to what is needed, and secure devices, password practices, antivirus protection and a VPN are used to protect your information.
Sometimes, for limited tasks such as structuring notes, preparing a first draft, organising research or developing content ideas. Kerry reviews the output before it is used. Support is reserved once the monthly retainer has been received. If a renewal payment is late, work may pause and the reserved availability may be released until the account is brought up to date.
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK time. Any work requested outside these hours must be agreed in writing beforehand and is charged at £45 per started hour. The minimum out-of-hours charge is £45, even if the work takes less than one hour.
Because you should have a realistic idea of the investment before making an enquiry.
